The frames are so expertly finished there's almost no chance you're going to damage the guitar in normal use. Kat-Eyz are built from round stock, so by definition there are no sharp edges there. I have a variety in a variety of different materials including Elliott, KatEyz, Crary, Colorado, Paige, Shubb, G7, John Pearse, Hlavaty, Paige and some other yoke-styles showing no brand name. For utility, the ones that I use the most are the KatEyz, the Colorado, and the Elliott.
