Please, no judgment, would just like some advice or suggestions. I majored in history in college, a pretty useless major. I then went and got a joint degree: JD/MSW. I worked for 2 years in very boring, low paying paralegal type jobs because I couldn't get an actual lawyer job. I did not take the bar exam.The two can really overlap a lot, but the reality is you should only get one of the degrees. So if you want to be in court, get your JD. If you want to provide therapy or other services, maybe go the MSW route. Both degrees will let you achieve your macro goals, however, Having a MSW and a JD will not make you better at your end goal.The MSW involves extensive clinical training and ordinarily requires 64 credits.
