Mutation warrior is probably stronger in the long run, and better suited for single class action. The mutagens are also a bit more invovled decision making. THe problem with your two-handed fighter is that he both lacks armor training and you gave him only a moderate Dexterity and a moderate Consitution.

Pick Human for your race. Stats: Str 16(18 after racial) Dex 14 Con 14 Int 12 Wis 14 Cha 8.
